Serbfest Atlanta, Georgia

Atlanta Tournament at St Peter and Paul Serbian Orthodox church at 1558 Hewatt Rd SW .

Lilburn, GA 30047, where we were warmly welcomed by the gracious host at the church, accompanied by the Parish priest, Rev. Miladin Blagojevic. The Festival of Dance served as a unifying platform, bringing together the nation's most gifted dancers, instructors, and choreographers. Moravac was represented by a talented ensemble of 17 dancers who participated in the event.

We started with the famous song "mi smo deca neba oca nebeskog".

Under this link you can find the original songclip.

With the season just beginning, we channeled our nerves into positive energy to perform for an audience new to Moravac. Thanks to multiple practices each week, we were able to exemplify Serbian tradition through song and dance, drawing from central Serbia (Šumadija) and southern Serbia, along with a dance from the Pčinja region (which is now in North Macedonia on the modern map).

A member of our small group joined us for moral support and sang a song alongside the performing ensemble. We are immensely proud of them and want to thank all the dancers for their effort and motivation. We couldn't have asked for a better group to represent Moravac at Atlanta's Serbfest.

Now, our focus has shifted to our preparations for the upcoming fall festival, where we will have the honor of hosting dance groups from the Chicagoland area. We also hope to extend an invitation to our newfound friends from Atlanta, and we eagerly anticipate their participation.

Join us on November 5th at 4315 Joliet Ave, Lyons, IL 60534, for a day filled with vibrant performances and cultural exchange.

It promises to be an unforgettable celebration of Serbian traditions and the spirit of unity.
